“Things That Make You Go Hmmmm”
Jen has spent over 25 years working in both the front and back of the house of restaurants; everything from busser to food runner to server to staff trainer to Chef de Partie – Jen has done it all. She found her calling to cuisine while working in Caribbean style restaurants in the Virgin Islands, and embraced her new career with passion.
In 2000, Jen secured multiple roles with a fast paced female run restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard and quickly became an indispensable asset. Over the years, Jen had the honor of working with a classically trained head chef in a fine dining setting where she was able to learn technique and explore her creativity.
After becoming a mother in 2008, she would later learn that both of her children suffered from celiac disease and this became her driving force to learn how to create healthy, gluten free dishes that the whole family would enjoy.
In steps Chef Beau in 2015 and once again, Jen was expanding her skill set and exploring new ways to create food through the guidance of the Klean Kitchen. Chef Beau provides a space for Jen to create flavorful cuisine made simply with the highest quality products. Her presentation of food is as important as cooking food that makes you go, “hmmmmm!”.
